Mother of Pearl, when polished correctly, gives off beautifully brilliant shades of silver, green, pink, and gray.  We carry many lovely mother of pearl jewelry items including necklaces, earrings, key-chains and more!

Tagua, or Vegetable Ivory, comes from a palm nut that grows deep in the rainforest.  When polished, it is similar in appearance and consistency to animal ivory, but it comes from a plant, hence the name "Vegetable Ivory".  Natives in the jungle have been crafting in Tagua for thousands of years, in fact, tagua used to be a very popular source for buttons, until around WWII when plastic was invented.  Recently its popularity has grown significantly as a environmentally friendly alternative to killing endangered animals for ivory.  Tagua is still a popular source for designer buttons, but we also carry figurines, jewelry, and even beautiful chess sets made in Tagua and tropical hardwood.

Jade has been cherished all over the world since ancient times for its beauty.  In the amazon, natives have been using it for crafting for thousands of years, and still do, in fact.  We import items crafted in jade, such as jewelry, pendants, statues, and masks.
